ADAPTING TO KAMATOR

Sierra Leone, 1993.

• Who was involved?: Ishmael, Junior, Talloi, Gibrilla, Kaloko, Khalilou, and his aunt.

• When did the event happen?: This happened after the boys were chased by villagers who mistaken them with rebels, after they were received in that village some people that passed by it and knew Gibrilla told him that his aunt was in a nearby village called Kamator, the boys decide to go to that village, they spend about three months in Kamator, a time period between April and June 1993.

• Where did the event happen?: The event happens in a village named Kamator.

• What happened?: After the boys arrived at Kamator, they were given the job of guards and after some time as farmers in order to contribute to something and stay there.

• Why did it happen?: A woman who knew Gibrilla told them his aunt was in this village, therefore they decided to go there. In return for food and shelter, the villagers assigned them these jobs
